Studio by the Sea is ideally located within easy walking distance to the world’s most beautiful beaches, enabling both beach-side and in-studio classes. Our gorgeous, brand-new building features state-of-the-art wooden sprung flooring and floor-mounted mirrors for optimum practice in every discipline.
Artistic Director and teacher Wendy Lewis trained with Ballet West in Salt Lake City and performed with the company for years before going on to receive a degree in Ballet Performance from the University of South Florida. She performed with Tampa-based dance companies and taught dance throughout Tampa Bay before relocating to PCB in 2007. Locally, Wendy has served as the choreographer for the GCSC “Singing Commodores” and for the award-winning Magic Show at Gulf World. Her choreography and students have won awards at regional and national dance competitions. With 15+ years of experience, teaching is her joy and passion.
Kristine Duba has always led an active lifestyle, excelling in sports and gymnastics during her teens. After graduating from school with a B.S. in Exercise Science and an M.S. in Sports Management, Kristine discovered fitness competing. After winning multiple first place titles in both the Fitness and Figure divisions, Kristine earned her IFBB Pro Card and just qualified for the highest echelon of fitness competing: the Olympia. Kristine has been a certified personal trainer and group exercise instructor for more than five years and specializes in teaching Pilates, Zumba, spin, HIIT, TRX, strength training, and acrobatics.
Jacqueline Bell’s yoga classes produce strength and vitality for the body and mind. She recently completed an Advanced 500/hr Teaching Training course with studies in India, Costa Rica and Mexico. Her main influence is Vinyasa Flow, some benefits of this class include strength, detoxification, mental and physical balance, flexibility, and stamina. Jacqueline has been teaching in Panama City Beach for three years and strives to inspire and transform both new and long-term students.
Suzy Cilbrith: “I am so grateful and excited to be part of Studio by the Sea! I’m a former martial arts instructor and Karate team coach (Kempo: Ed Parker discipline), and most recently, the strength, conditioning,and mental training coach for Ultimate Boxing/MMA. I’ve conquered a lifelong struggle with my weight, I love mud runs, and I’m a Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) enthusiast. My classes focus on fundamentals of movement: balance, agility, speed, strength, power, dynamic flexibility, and stability. I design these classes so I can adjustment them for you and your goals. Every class is different, constantly challenging your body and there is no plateau. Whether you want to tone up or are a competitive pro athlete, I can help you do what you do even better. As a fitness coach, my job is to help you succeed. The formula for success is the same regardless of what you’re doing and if you need some help figuring it out, then I’m your girl. It takes more than knowing the right exercises and nutrition. It takes motivation, imagination, visualization, and some plain old “how am I going to fit this in my schedule?” Are you ready? It’s GO time!!
Melissa Cozad graduated from the University of South Florida in 2005 with a degree in Physical Education. Later that same year she acquired a Primary Group Exercise Instructor certification thru N.A.F.T.A. Maintaining a lifelong fitness regime, Melissa has experienced training in Muy Thai Kickboxing, Bellydancing, Strength Training, Aerobics, Yoga and Pilates. Melissa believes workouts are preserved when they are enjoyable and produce results. Currently, she is fully addicted to zumba and pleased to bring her talents to Studio by the Sea teaching a hybrid class “Yogilates”.
Allison Scully is a graduate of Westfield State University in Massachusetts where she studied Education while being captain of the school’s dance team. She went on to receive her Masters from UMass in Reading. Allison has been teaching hip hop the past ten years to boys and girls in the New England and Hawaii area. In addition to teaching dance classes, Allison coached the Westfield State University dance team for five years. She was the director of hip hop and the teacher company at her previous studio in Hawaii.
Addison Wakeford has always had an interest with health, fitness, and mental awareness, and when yoga crossed his path he found a deep connection with something extremely vast and limitless. With training from the Nosara Yoga Institution, located in Costa Rica, Addison teaches a Hatha based yoga class that gives the student a multi- dimentional experience. With a life-time of passion for music, Addison likes to bring that love to his classes with a live instrumental guitar piece during the end of class. Addison believes life should be fun and exciting and loves to create a space where people can be comfortable being challenged, open to looking inside themselves, and receptive of the results. He is a kid at heart and loves all that life has to offer.
Born in Panama, Geneva Hersom is a 3rd Dan (Degree) Black Belt in ITF Taekwondo.She won the (1st place) for 3 years in a row in her division in the IPPONE ratings system and has won State Championships in both SMART and KRANE ratings system and a National Championship in the KRANE tournament circuit. Geneva began her Taekwondo training at the Sanford-Springvale YMCA under Kwanjangnim Richard Smith Jr who has taken many seminars offered by Sifu Guru Dan Inosanto, former student of Bruce Lee. Her hard work and dedication often paid off skipping ranks at testings on 3 occasions during the course of her training with Master Smith.
